Table 19

Checked out Table 19, a new comedy starring a lot of good, funny people who should have known better. Anna Kendrick, Lisa Kudrow, Craig Robinson, Stephan Merchant,June Squib and a couple others play characters invited to a wedding out of courtesy and who were expected to RSVP No. So they wind up together in the random/miscellaneous table during the reception. They proceed to bond and help each other out of whatever problems they have.

It’s a decent and seemingly unique premise for a movie but unfortunately that’s all squandered by just how impressively unfunny this comedy is. The film does earn a few sweet moments at the end but it’s not worth the effort requires to stay seated and watching this bland, boring film.

Just stay away. Stay away like the screenwriters did at a second pass at the material.
