Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is a kid’s comedy that isn’t targeted at me and doesn’t care if I like it. That’s fine, but it could still have been a decent movie (and I’m betting no one reading this post has ever heard of it). I compare it to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies since they share a ton of DNA… and those are tolerably enjoyable movies for what they are. Middle School is just a movie that happened – it’s marginal, it’s not boring I guess, it’s a movie that just sits there. I imagine the kids of a certain age (Middle Schoolers) probably enjoyed it. It’s a whatever movie though. Next.
