Archenemy is about a homeless guy who claims to be a Superman-level superhero from an alternate dimension. A teenager decides to learn more about him for a reporter gig he’s trying to get while his lsister does her thing in a standard-issue crime plot. Soon the two stories converge and the probably-crazy homeless guy decides he can be a hero and clean up the town. Violence ensues.

I really wanted to like this film but it kept not being interesting or exciting. The characters show glimpses of being interesting but scenes just amble along without any good writing or particularly effusive directing or imagery to back them up. It has comic book panel art but it’s only just ok.

I’d say the final twenty minutes or so amps up some energy and that kind of saves the flick. A little bit. Sort of.
