Also caught the documentary Back in Time which is a making-of the Back to the Future movies, released in time for the 30th anniversary and the Back to the Future Day. It’s available on iTunes and on Netflix. So save a few bucks and watch it there… if you watch it at all…. because this is not a very good documentary.

The film covers a little of the production of the movie and gets people like Zemeckis, Spielberg, Michael J. Fox on camera for interviews but the bulk of the movie is more on the superfans. Convention goers and people who spend all the time and money retrofitting DeLoreans to look like time machines. That’s probably really exciting to the superfans but maybe not to the rest of us.

This is a missed opportunity, especially for when it was released.
