Went to see the new Woody Allen movie Blue Jasmine… starring Cate Blanchett, Alec Baldwin, and Andrew Dice Clay (!!!!). It’s a fairly serious drama about a terrible woman coming unraveled after her slimy corporate criminal of a husband (think Bernie Madoff) gets sent to prison and she loses everything. Great performance by Blanchett in a pretty good, serious movie. First Woody Allen movie I’ve ever seen at a theater – not the biggest fan but liked Midnight in Paris so figured I’d give it a shot. And we now live in a world where Andrew Dice Clay co-starred in a Woody Allen film. Huh.
