The Dark Knight Rises is an extremely well made movie that goes on (and on and on) for about 45 minutes longer than is necessary for its preachy but thematically muddled parable of the 99% and then ends with what I have to believe was a great big Hollywood producer dictated copout that basically proves that no one running studios understand the concept of art. But, hey, like I said, it IS very well made as far as music, editing, tone, and so forth go – it just runs out of steam way too early.
