I spitefully spread my clearly on-the-way-out cold germs at the movies – Dark Skies… very early show. This is a decent horror movie – an alien abduction movie masquerading as a haunted house movie. It’s like Signs with aliens who are f’ing with people (like in the typical haunted house movie). A lot of semi-spooky stuff happens and then JK Simmons (J Jonah Jameson from the Spiderman films) shows up and knocks it out of the park with probably his best non-comic acting as a guy who has given up on fighting the generic Grey aliens. This is a decent rental for a dark night… but nothing worth spending a night out at the theaters for (especially with those germ-ridden sociopaths infecting the seats around them).
