Dragonkeeper

Dragonkeeper is a bland, boring, generic and mediocre animated flick from China and Spain. It’s about a little girl who has a run in with a couple of dragons and promises to rescue a dragon egg from the emperor.

The art style is so one note and simplistic… the animation itself is ok, but they aren’t animating anything interesting or complicated. The dragons are pretty standard Chinese but the main one is devoid of personality visually (and isn’t such a great conversationalist either). Some of the action in the final act has some merit, I suppose.

There’s just so little to this film… I can’t think of anything more profound to say. It’s just boring, low energy, and cheap looking.
