Saw GI Joe: Retaliation…. a direct sequel to the first movie from a few years ago and somehow a reboot of the franchise. It’s much less over-the-top and goofy and seems to be trying for more realism and serious-mindedness in tone. It’s not a bad movie, it’s a fine medium-level, run-of-the-mill action flick with some occasional clever dialog, some bland characters, and some of the same characters and actors from the previous flick. Probably don’t need to (and, honestly, probably don’t want to) see it.
