Stallone and DeNiro played boxers in their past so in the spirit of Space Cowboys, Last Vegas, etc. comes another Old People Can Do X movie… Grudge Match is their new movie (also starring Alan Arkin, Joe Barenthal, Kim Basinger, and Kevin Hart). It’s a middling, not very funny, not very moving pic about a 30 year old boxing rivalry… the two are coming out of retirement for a come-back match. It’s… largely… ok… I can respect the attempt to be more than just a comedy but unfortunately it didn’t have as much heart as it wanted nor was it funny as it was trying to be. Largely, just skip it unless you are a big fan of the stars, Rocky, and/or Raging Bull. I guess.
