So joined the throbbing masses who left common sense at the door went with awesome friends to Harry Potter 7.5 at midnight last night. A fine example of how a big Hollywood production can be a big showcase for FX and then slow it down to be somber and thoughtful (without being schmaltzy like some of the earlier movies). It does suffer from inaction… just like the book… but it’s still fairly solid despite that. Of all the books to have split into two, this is the oddest choice since the book structure is so uneventful. But gotta find some way to keep the cash cow grazing.
