Horrible Bosses 2 is an okish sequel to an ok comedy about a trio of idiots trying to be criminals. This sequel probably didn’t need to exist but it’s not a disaster, at least. I laughed a few times and then the movie got a little long and flabby. I suspect the amount you get out of it will be based on how much you enjoy Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day babbling at each other… they nail the ability to play off each other, but it wasn’t consistently funny enough to me. Your results may vary.
The trio has devovled into a kidnapping (instead of murder) plot and have evolved into their own horrible bosses in probably the only clever reason to be a sequel. Jennifer Anniston and Jamie Fox return doing the same sort of humor they did last time and are now joined by Christoph Waltz and a very game Chris Pine (who is funnier and more capable of doing comedy than I expected).
The movie is fine, more or less. Strong recommendation there…
