Saw Jack the Giant Slayer over the weekend… and I rather enjoyed it. It was fun and light entertainment and I rather liked the characters who didn’t fall into the cliches I expected. I didn’t know Ewan McGregor was in the movie but he and his mustache were great. Doing a very Errol Flynn impersonation – he was fun. Stanley Tucci was in it too – surprise – and he was a fun villain. Only real complaint is that it wasn’t very deep and the end was kind of anti-climactic. It was a good, fun, and funny movie. People seem to be hating on it… I think it’s one of those pre-programmed to hate flicks… but not me.
