Last Night at Terrace Lanes is horror film where masked cultists descend upon a bowling alley on its closing night. The survivors have to scramble and use their knowledge of the facility to survive and fight back. Horror Die Hard in a Bowling Alley?
They film in an actual bowling alley and make decent use of their location to amp up the production value. There are some humorous conversations about the nature of bowling through history… and some decent father/daughter interactions. But that’s it for the positive.
The rest of the film is a boring drag that at least has the courtesy of not thinking it needs to be 90 minutes. It’s a tight 70 minutes or so and even that results in a poorly paced film with a budget too low to pull off the bloody kills they are going for (lots of blood at least, I suppose).
I don’t have the antagonism to dress this film down… it tries to do something unique at the very least. It just continuously failed to be exciting, scary, interesting, or even a fun time at a bad film.
