So… yeah… The Lone Ranger movie is pretty bad. Long, dull, and trying so very hard to be funny with anachronistic humor that comes of as a desperate attempt at saying “I can be funny and wacky too!” To its credit, it’s competently filmed… it looks good… though why this would have cost 200 million bucks is a mystery (it couldn’t be the CGI horses and CGI fanged bunnies (WTF?)). I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie that has this much contempt for its hero (The Lone Ranger, have to make that clear since the main character is actually Tonto). I’m not sure who the target audience is for the me since it hates The Lone Ranger so much and old time fans will be offended.
