When I started watching this, I realized I hadn’t thought about Marmaduke (the IP) in decades. But then it occurred to me a little later that I was wrong… that Marmaduke came up in an episode of Rick and Morty where the punchline was, “Did you get the impression I was trying to make you laugh?” And, huh… that’s exactly accurate for this shitty Netflix cartoon.

The flick is about the titular great dane entering a dog show. And there’s not much else to say about it besides my raging disdain for this terrible movie. Is this what they think small children will like? Well, I’m sure they will because small children aren’t too discerning. But maybe we can elevate the crap they watch by giving them decent material from jump. On the other hand, train them early with literal trash and maybe they won’t demand better later in life.

Jeepers. This is just bad. Ugly character models, cheap, simplistic animation, and tons of jokes that are consistently terrible. Every. One. Of. Them.
