Also saw (on VoD via Apple TV) the romantic? comedy? The One I Love – a movie about relationships and the difference between our ideal mate and the one we grow to know. It’s got kind of a Twilight Zone type twist that isn’t in the trailers (but was ruined for me going in) that allows the movie to ask questions and pose problems that work with the theme. Real world critics seem to love it – I thought it was fine but nothing spectacular.
I put romantic and comedy with question marks because it’s billed as a romantic comedy but it isn’t… or at least I didn’t find it funny for the sake of being a comedy. Which doesn’t mean it doesn’t have some amusing moments.
