I do not like Broken Lizards. I do not like them on the pool cage when visiting my parents in Florida, I do not like them in their interminably unfunny comedies. I know the Broken Lizard guys are popular but I’ve never understood why. I may have never once laughed in any of their mediocre movies. Probably should stop watching them, huh?

Quasi is no Renfield. The film is about a hunchback bell-ringer / torture machine designer in medieval France who gets mixed up in the squabbles between the King and the Pope.

Mainstay joke of the film: Medieval French people talk and swear just like us. That’s it guys. Pack it up and go home… we’ll never get them to laugh harder. I very much hated this film. Didn’t laugh or even smirk once throughout its endless doldrums or flatly-lit shots and mediocre filmmaking.

If you like Broken Lizard, maybe this is the apex of comedy. To me, yeah, why DO I keep watching these films? Because they make them and I also slam my finger in car doors repeatedly, I guess.
