Saw Red Tails today – the WW2 war movie about the Tuskegee Airmen (the black pilots). People who are cynics, who can’t handle war movie cliches, who hate rah-rah patriotism, and/or who just hate hate hate George Lucas will hate this movie. I liked it well enough (even though I am a cynic) – the movie knows what it is, I think and if you can go with it, it’s a cool enough flick. Not great, but enjoyable. Stretches the truth a bit, it IS full of cliches, and the action isn’t what it could be.
