Saw Ted – the raunchy teddy bear comedy from Seth (Family Guy) McFarlan. It was rather funny in all the wrong (raunchy) ways and I laughed a fair amount. Definitely a movie for fans of the 80s (and that Flash Gordon movie) with references coming fast and furious (my favorite was a re-enactment of the Saturday Night Fever re-enactment from the movie Airplane – it got very meta at that point). Sadly, I thought the last quarter of the movie where they introduce a danger plot was out-of-place and tedious (though the I Think We’re Alone Now/Tiffany sequence made me laugh). I hate it when movies have to introduce a last minute crime or danger plot because Screenwriting 101 says you have to. Ah well, still a pretty funny flick.
