Went to see the new teen sex comedy The To Do List… I was one of three people in the theater (two by the end – one dude walked out)… It’s very raunchy but also not very funny and it thinks it’s saying something amazing about women and sex… I guess. But American Pie said it years ago (and that movie wasn’t saying anything original either but at least the girls were saying it). Anyhow, the movie is about a nerdy 18 year old girl played by 31ish year old Aubrey Plaza (from Parks and Recreation) who decided she wants to sleep with a hot guy but has to get properly experienced first… thus a to-do list (hand jobs, french kissing, teabagging, motorboating, oral, etc.)… and the only genuinely funny moment, for me as a grumpy guy clearly too old for this sh*t was she (Plaza) gets angry at the community pool and declares that she needs to call the Parks Department… because HAH – she’s on Parks and Recreation. It’s so meta. What isn’t meta is that every teenager in this movie is, and looks like they are, in his or her late 20s or 30s. Shocking, I know <rolls eyes>
