Transformers 3 is a good movie marred by the fact it’s a bad movie. That’s the best thing I’ve ever said about a (live action) Transformers movie. For the first time in this series, I actually felt an emotion other than disgust, boredom, perplexity (is that an emotion?), and disdain… it was not to last. Once again, it’s slick, noisy, monotonous, and has this weird desire to showcase a bunch of soldiers instead of a bunch of robots. And, as usual, the robots are overdesigned messes. I’ll give it this much though… every cent of the production is on screen. They didn’t pull out any half-measures.
