Rented this one hoping for some gold old fashioned craft-iness mixed with sorority secret society scares. I guess it’s got a tiny bit of those things but mainly its got no budget and no particularly artistic eye with the budget it does have. It’s just flat and mundane.

The flick is about a girl who attends college and is forced to join the “York Witches Society” by the dean, as is so likely to happen. And before you can wave your magic wand, she accidentally summons an evil spirit who harasses them and the guy running the low budget fog machine.

No point in bagging on the movie too much. It is what it is and achieves nothing more. Maybe they were earnestly trying, but it mostly doesn’t work, isn’t remotely scary, nor does it show a modicum of creativity.
