Awareness is a Spanish sci-fi action flick on Amazon Prime Video about people with psychic powers and the factions who want to stop or control them.

You’ve seen this movie before… but it’s pretty sure you haven’t. It thinks it’s cooler than it is… though sometimes it rises to the occasion. It has action scenes that are pretty good… when they aren’t trying too hard to be cool.

The movie mostly makes sense but also feels like its taking shortcuts to get around to its story. I wasn’t two steps ahead of it only because I largely was just along for the ride… nothing about the movie really encouraged me to engage.

But it’s not a bad movie if you can go with its very familiar, very try-hard vibe. Some good elements slotted in there among the average. You’ve seen it before and if you want to go again, maybe it’s worth a look.
