Dolphin Tale 2 is the family-friendly a fairly cute movie (based on a true story) of the ongoing story of a dolphin with a prosthetic tale. It’s fine. It’s sometimes moving, sometimes adorable, usually charming bit of good family film. Some scary and sad moments involving the death of a particular dolphin. One really positive trait is that the kids (returning from the first movie) are really into marine life and maintaining the aquarium from a business as well a health of the animals standpoint. It’s a rare movie that teaches kids responsibility not because it’s boring, but because it can be rewarding. Assuming you have a super cool job healing and releasing distressed marine animals and, you know, not sitting on a chair all day at work.
