Exodus (2021)

Following the literal rapture, people are isolated to their towns and totalitarian rule is established. The rumored existence of a door in the desert leading those left behind to salvation results in some risking their lives and freedom to escape.

An interesting premise for a movie… a movie that is pretty well shot and interesting to look at. But which is ultimately pretty obtuse and impenetrable. A series of events not well connected to each other… a series of trippy, ultimately impenetrable images and visions that I guess might have a greater meaning. But the movie isn’t going to hand-hold you on them. If there’s deeper meaning here, the movie wasn’t interesting enough to explore it, unfortunately.
