Fruitville Station

Saw the powerful indie film Fruitville Station – the true story about the final 24 hours of an average, imperfect 22 year old man (father, boyfriend, son, ex-con, trying to do better) who is shot, possibly accidentally, in a stupid encounter with the cops in 2009. Very well acted and well written – the character isn’t made into a saint and that’s a smart move since it shows him as a flawed but mostly good person who is more-or-less trapped in his mostly good life when things go randomly wrong. Good, powerful stuff.
