The rebooted Star Trek is certainly a good movie. Worth seeing. Good movie. Kind of wish it was better though – but as far as Trek goes, it’s probably the 3rd best (behind 2 and 4).

Excellent casting all around – Kirk, Spock, Uhura, Bones (especially bones and Spock). Checkov wasn’t quite as good as the rest but I’ve seen worse choices.

Excellent FX. Good enough story that manages to allow for all the discrepancies between this movie and the classic show – so all the fanboys can suck it!

Some cool plot twists that I thought would be reversed in the usual dumb sci-fi way – but it didn’t, so kudos there.

Some logic problems and a couple HUGE coincidences were a problem with the storyline but I can deal with those since it was an otherwise fun and funny movie.

It makes me look forward to the sequel without absolutely loving the movie so that’s a compliment.
