Two

Two is a horror flick made by someone who probably saw The Human Centipede and thought he could do a better job. Only less ambitious because it’s only two people sewn together (is that progress? I don’t know). Two strangers wake up together naked, in bed, and connected at their abdomen. They don’t know why, they don’t know who did this to them, or why.

It’s gross… and it’s short. Barely over an hour so it doesn’t overstay its welcome. Which is a net positive since nothing is particularly interesting in the flick until they reveal the “why”. And that would have been better with more complexity or characterization (and thus more run-time which I doubt they’d handle well enough).

Credit to the actors for having the courage (or being stuck in a contract) to be this naked for this long. Takes confidence in the director to make this work… unless they were just exploited as working actors.

Really hated the super pretentious end shot. Movie, you are a sick, sordid exploitation flick in the long run, not an art house film with a cool visual style. Let’s not pretend.

This movie didn’t particularly surprise me other than it being a Netflix release. I’ve seen grosser flicks… and far scarier flicks too. It’s not good enough with its human drama and I kept thinking they were cheating with where they were sewn together (not something you should have to think about). Just not a very good flick.
