Unfinished Business may be the most confused and unfocused movie comedy I’ve seen in a long time. How so? Well, it’s about business men trying to land a deal selling industrial remnants, it’s a raunchy R rated comedy about leatherboys (and a lot of penises in gloryholes), it’s also about a family man who is trying to connect with his family and help his kids he’s away from on his business trip, a satire of German art exhibitions and culture, a dim manchild losing his virginity (twice!), the G8 summit, and just about a half dozen random other things. I have no idea what it was “about” which might be fine if the movie was particularly consistently funny… and I won’t lie and say I didn’t chuckle a few times. I did. It just seemed almost incidental to whatever the movie was doing.

Good cast though – Vince Vaughn, Tom Wilkinson, Dave Franco, Ricky Gervaise, and others. Not a good track record for poor Vaughn as captain of this ship.
