Revealer

Revealer is a very low budget film with basically two actors stuck in one or two sets… and it’s not terrible. It’s not great but it has a decent premise and some decent moments… but it also doesn’t really keep its thin premise moving along very well.

The film is set in 1987 where a stripper and a bible thumper wind up trapped in a peep show booth while the literal biblical apocalypse goes on outside. Can these two antagonists get along and survive with demons chasing them?

This is a talky movie because they don’t have the budget or the expertise to stretch the premise with anything but. And what they talk about and the way they talk about it is… ok. Not great. It never rises to the level of really interesting but at least it’s not universally boring (and neither are the characters).

The demon makeup and CGI is pretty ok for the type of flick this is. It’s not on screen much, some of it’s pretty slimy and wiggly. The practical demon isn’t so great but is kept in shadow mostly.

Is this movie scary? Not really. Can’t imagine anyone would get any chills from it.

This isn’t something I’d recommend to anyone unless you have time on your hands for a fairly short Shudder film. There are worse films to watch.
